Dedicated toward the production of acoustic music. Electric Monkey Media utilizes the current version of Cubase
to record, edit and mix. Our goal is to retain original performances
with minimal post production. The key to attaining these goals
is by creating a relaxed, comfortable enviroment for the performers.
Well thought out microphone placement and transparent pre-amps allow us to capture the performances with no distortion and un-wanted coloration.
Our simple approach coupled with state-of-the-art software provides us with unlimited possibilities to produce great recordings.
Engineer/producer Charlie Mosbrook recieved his education at the Media Institute in Lake county studying under Paul Hammond(Suma Recording) and Tom Anderson who has worked with Paul McCartney, Van Morrison, Jerry Garcia, David Grisman, Steven Stills, Supertramp and many others. Charlie served a production intern position at Telarc International under the tutilige of multi Grammy winners Paul Blakemore and Michael Bishop. Through this education, Charlie has come to understand that great recordings are the result of great performers, instruments, and material. The engineers job is to treat the key ingrediants with absolute care.
The focus of our work depends on great performers and a need/desire to capture this music in it's purest form.
